Moment Improv Theatre has been growing by leaps and bounds over the last few years between our corporate and on-line work. And like any growing company, we are always on the lookout for potential new teammates to help with all of the heavy lifting that comes with running an Improv Theatre. Are you interested in joining the Moment team? Take a look below, and if something tickles your fancy, let us know!
Moment Improv Theatre has a one-of-a-kind on-line experience that is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital space — our own Digital Entertainment Venue!
Just like in a physical building, we need a house management team not only to greet guests, but to show them the ropes of navigating an on-line theater space.
Leading a drop-in improv class can be fun and very rewarding. Our drop-in leads are often the first point of contact for future improvisors. Leads get to introduce new students to the magic and share the joy with returning improvisors while delivering impactful tools and lessons.
Drop-in Leader Responsibilities:
Moment Improv Theatre is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in live, on-line entertainment. Just like in a physical theater where the technician would have a light and sound board, we have created a digital equivalent to run Moment shows. There is A LOT of tech magic happening behind-the-scenes, and while we have set much of it up to be push button operated, we still need tech-friendly improvisors to push those buttons. It’s a fun experience that gives the opportunity to help craft the story from a 32,000-foot view.
Digital Tech Director Responsibilities:
If you believe in the Moment Improv approach to improvisation and are interested in growing as an instructor, we would love to talk.
We ask that our instructors be passionate about improv, be mindfully aware of what students need, teach with compassion and empathy, keep the classroom a safe space, and encourage growth. Depending on your level of familiarity with the Moment approach to improv, we may ask you to shadow the Artistic Director in a class prior to starting.
Teaching a corporate workshop can be both fun and challenging. If you have a background in improv instruction, and the flexibility to accommodate events which usually happen during “normal” business hours, we are always looking for good facilitators.
Corporate Facilitator Responsibilities:
Moment Improv Theatre teaches adults how to play again, how to be better communicators, and how to human in a more connected manner, all through the lens of improv comedy. We believe in this mission and we are always looking to share our brand of improv with others.
Our ideal candidate would be someone who can manage Moment’s visual components and help design a brand campaign that creates associations in our customers minds between their needs and our company’s ideals. They would also help to manage our social media channels while developing strategic approaches for a solid marketing mix.
If you are interested in any of the above positions please send resume and introductory note to administration @ momentimprov.com.
